Daniel Machado was born in Montevideo, Uruguay (06/29/1973). He studied Architecture and Infographic Design in the University of Republicat (Faculty of Architecture) and he studied photography in the Photo Club of Uruguay. The concept of the work presented on Uplifting is: The Museum as "no place". Using traditional photographs of architecture that he took of the Guggenheim Museum in New York in 1996, he has reinterpreted their forms, distorting then until new images appear. Technique: Olympus Camera, zoom/35-100, 400 ASA film, Kodak colour paper, scanned from negatives: Nikon Coolscan 4000ED and retouched using Photoshop 5.0.
